Moving with Flow.

In my last post I stated we would discuss how moving with flow occurs, and what this looks like. Let's take you back to a visualization first...

Imagine yourself on a beach, whether it's your favorite, or one you've always dreamed of visiting. Picture yourself standing at the water's edge, barefoot, feeling the cool damp sand between your toes as the waves rhythmically crash against the shore. You hear the soothing sound of the water meeting the sand, and as you lift your face to the sky, the warmth of the sun embraces you. The saltwater wraps around your feet, washing away the grains of the sand in an instant, only for the ocean to pull it back, leaving the smooth cool sand to return beneath your feet, grounding you once again in the serenity of the moment.

This is my example of flow. Life works in this same pattern of movement. Energy is all around us, and we ourselves are Energy. Energy is always moving, it's never constant, nor stagnant. As for us, one minute we might be inspired, we might feel at peace, and the next we could have a thought, or something happen that instantly changes where we just were. How many of you had this happen? I'm sure you can relate. It can literally be anything. Like waking up, as you go about your day you have all these "to do's" planned, then you get a headache and now your mood changes, your energy changes, and half the things you wanted to achieve are no longer in sight. It completely rearranged your day and now you're being hard on yourself for not doing all the things. Well at least that's what I do. I am ALWAYS very hard on myself. I am an "overachiever" some call it OCD. I just tend to feel better when I accomplish things, so something like this could literally upset my mood for the entire day. Moving with Flow could look something like this:

The moment you become aware of a shift - as in the moment I realized I had the headache-it can turn your entire day around. By simply allowing the shift to happen, you can choose to change the channel. Changing the channel gives you the power to decide how you will react. Think back to the visualization of the cool wet sand comforting your feet. Then suddenly, the water retreats and the cool sand returns. The energy is yours; you are in control of how you respond. If the channel you're on doesn't feel right, change it.

You can do this in a number of ways. Instead of going into the negative mindset mode of "oh great now I have a headache, and I have all these things to do!" which then just signals the body to tense up, your brain then releases chemicals matching what the body is reacting to which are not in your favor, and the cycle begins of more of the same. Energy Flows where Attention goes. I repeat, Energy flows where attention goes. Become aware of the negative mind that just took over and provide a different outlook. "Ok, I have a headache, what do I need? Why am I having a headache?" Take a moment to listen... see if you receive a response in your mind or in your gut. You could get something like, "oh I didn't drink enough water" or "I'm actually stressed about a decision I need to make". Stopping to give yourself time to notice, to listen, to hear... the answer will become clear. Then perhaps you give yourself a dab of peppermint oil, drink a little water with mineral sea salt (to hydrate you), and just maybe you take a moment to sit and take a few deep breaths to reset your CNS, Central Nervous System, and do a couple of neck and shoulder stretches. This all can be done within minutes.

Perhaps, just perhaps this will reset the tone of the day, rest your mind and thoughts, most of all your energy. If you don't stop to become aware and decide to "Change your Channel" you might just be running on someone else's channel all day long.

Awareness is key. This is the key that unlocks your own door. And from there its nothing short of beautiful. The path ahead unfolds in ways you never imagined.

Join me in the next part of the series, as dive into how Awareness not only guides you but empowers you creating profound shifts that can lead to lasting transformation.
